Kevin De Bruyne reportedly has a broad verbal agreement with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad over a deal ahead of the summer window.

According to Rudy Galetti, Al-Ittihad may have secured a verbal agreement with Kevin De Bruyne about a summer transfer.

The Journalist claimed that a delegation of the Saudi Pro League club and a delegation from the PIF spoke to the player, who reportedly approved of a move to the Middle East.

Kevin De Bruyne to join Al-Ittihad?

Fabrizio Romano recently quoted Kevin De Bruyne as saying he would look forward to a relaxed summer and then holding talks with Manchester City later on.

The Belgian ace said, “I’ll have a quiet summer. I’ll enjoy my holidays and will return to City afterwards. “I assume there will be talks with City in the upcoming months.”

Those comments indicated that there were some talks with his club, as earlier reports suggested Manchester City were planning contract discussions with De Bruyne, who has a year left on his current deal.

The Belgian remains the highest-paid star at the club, depending on sources, who also claim it’s Erling Haaland.

Either way, he’s one of the top earners, and a new contract would net him more money.

However, Rudy Galetti now casts doubts about a new contract and suggests De Bruyne has a verbal agreement with Al-Ittihad about a move this summer.

The Journalist claimed a PIF delegation, along with representatives of the Saudi Pro League club,

spoke to the Belgian about a move, and he reportedly approved of the transfer.

Saudi clubs and MLS sides are interested in De Bruyne, but Al-Ittihad’s name is the latest to arrive in the race for the Belgian.

The Manchester City mainstay will certainly net a big payday like some of the other superstar players in the Saudi Pro League, which could tempt the midfielder about making a switch.

Will Manchester City sell De Bruyne?

While stories insist that the club wants to hand De Bruyne a new deal,

there are doubts about his injury record, which some suggest may prevent the midfielder from playing many games.

Hence, Manchester City are somewhat sceptical about a new deal, and as Galetti suggests, they would be open to a sale.

As the Saudi sides or only Al-Ittihad will likely offer De Bruyne a massive contract

and wages, they might not want to pay too much to Manchester City.

Hence, they are even prepared to wait until next summer to sign the Belgian on a free transfer that could boost De Bruyne’s chances of a more lucrative contract.
