We’re into the final few days of the transfer window, and there’s still a feeling that Arsenal could be active.

The Gunners haven’t made an attacking signing so far this summer, and there’s still a feeling that they could get someone through the door in that area.

Nico Williams has been strongly linked to Arsenal this summer, and according to Dean Jones, speaking on the Ranks FC Podcast, the Spaniard is still someone Arsenal are very keen on.

Jones says that Arsenal would sign Williams tomorrow if he could, and he’s not against making the move, although he would prefer to join Barcelona.

Arsenal would sign Nico Williams tomorrow

Jones shared what he knows about the Spaniard.

“Nico Williams, they still love up to right now. I think they would sign Nico Williams tomorrow if they could. There are problems more around his wages than an actual transfer fee that would be needed,” Jones said.

“There’s also the desire of the player. I don’t think he doesn’t want to join Arsenal, I just think he’d prefer to join Barcelona. I’m waiting to see if that can crop up again for Arsenal.”

Nico Williams move would make Arsenal title favourites

Arsenal aren’t favourites to win the Premier League at the moment after years of Manchester City dominance.

However, if they manage to sign Williams, the tide could begin to turn.

Williams is one of Europe’s premier attacking talents, and he would elevate Arsenal to that next level in an attacking sense.

He’d immediately be a starter on the left, while he’d also provide extra depth down the right if rotation was needed.

There’s a reason Arsenal love Nico Williams, he’s an immense talent, and with a £49m release clause in place, a deal could be possible.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the final days of this summer.
