Liverpool picked up a convincing 3-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Arne Slot continued his 100 percent record after his Liverpool side dominated Manchester United on their patch.

Luis Diaz netted a brace before Mohamed Salah rounded off the scoring in

the second half with a well-taken left-footed strike.

Just before Diaz’s opener, Diogo Jota could be seen doing something which was absolutely genius…

Diogo Jota created space for Luis Diaz’s opening goal vs Man United

Liverpool’s opener looked fairly straightforward;

a turnover high up the pitch before a wonderful clipped ball to the back post for Diaz to head in.

But perhaps many missed an intricate detail that was crucial in the build-up.

Diogo Jota, who started as Slot’s number nine, could be seen pointing to the back post

before running towards the near post, which was an intentional play to drag defenders out of position.

That therefore left Diaz and Dominik Szoboszlai with acres of

space at the back to nod home the first goal, genius.

Diogo Jota is key to Arne Slot’s style of play

Jota is currently keeping the £85m man Darwin Nunez out of the side as Slot prefers his intelligent running.

Plus, the former Wolves man is a lot more clinical and is very fluid in his style,

allowing Mohamed Salah to drift inside.

He’s essential to Slot’s system so Nunez looks as though he has a

mammoth task of trying to get back in the starting 11.

He’ll have to take his opportunity off the bench.
