Chelsea is in advanced negotiations with Aston Villa for teenager Omari Kellyman and is very close to signing the striker.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are very close to completing a move for Omari Kellyman.
The Blues have highly rated the 18-year-old striker, as they are keen to snap him up right now rather
than wait for his talent to develop in the future, as this move has surprised many.
Chelsea are closing in on Omari Kellyman
Chelsea are continuing on their relentless pursuit of signing some of the top young talents from around,
and this time, they are focused on bringing in promising strikers.
A surprise name has emerged of late, with the club interested in signing Aston Villa’s Omari Kellyman.
Omari Kellyman, the 18-year-old coming through the youth ranks, joined Villa two years ago from Derby County.
Last season, he played a total of 58 senior minutes combined through different competitions,
and, astonishingly, Villa valued him at £20 million, with only an upside in the future to consider.
Chelsea is very close to finalizing a deal worth £19 million with Villa for Kellyman, and the deal could conclude in the coming days.
The Blues are keen on the striker to come in and join them for pre-season. However, his immediate future will then be determined,
as there are chances of the 18-year-old attacking prodigy leaving on a year-long loan deal, possibly to Strasbourg.
Chelsea are chasing young strikers, including Jhon Duran
In the deal to sign Kellyman, doubts were raised about their pursuit of Jhon Duran.
The Colombian striker was chased by Chelsea in the last few weeks, with the forward keen on joining the Blues.
The Londoners are still undecided about him, but it is expected of them to follow through on their interest and begin concrete negotiations with Villa.
Meanwhile, Chelsea also attempted to sign Samu Omorodion, but Atletico Madrid rejected their initial bid for the young striker.
The Spanish giants are keen to keep hold of their rising star, but a higher offer than the one Chelsea made for him could make the Roji Blancos re-think their stance.
Similarly, they are keen on Hoffenheim’s Maximilian Beier, with the German international striker attracting massive interest after a stellar season in the Bundesliga.
The 21-year-old has a €30 million release clause, which might be a source of concern for the Blues,
although the Londoners are not considered in pole position for the German forward.
