Pep Guardiola broke down in tears after the Key Manchester City Star boy who was supposed to be the main man against Brentford was injured during the international break.

Manchester City will have to wait anxiously for the return of some of their important players from injuries.

This Saturday, City will play their first Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium against Brentford. In their penultimate game before the international break, last month, Pep Guardiola’s team triumphed against West Ham.

Over the past two weeks, several City players have traveled to represent their different national teams all across the world. As Guardiola gets the club ready to play the Bees this weekend, he and his colleagues will be hoping that the injury list becomes much better.

Before the Premier League matchup between City and Brentford, MEN Sport has examined the current injury list for City as well as their projected comeback dates.

The Netherlands’ Tuesday night Nations League matchup against Germany resulted in an injury to Nathan Ake.

Stretching him off the field was necessary, and it seemed like the City defender had a hamstring problem. Now, City must anxiously await word on the severity of the injury and when he could make a comeback.

Phil Foden

Before the international break, Phil Foden was not available for the matches against Ipswich Town and West Ham.

Foden’s sickness also prevented him from playing for England in the matches against Finland and the Republic of Ireland. City hopes that the 24-year-old will be fit when they play in the Premier League again this weekend.

Possible return date: September 14, Brentford (H).

Rodri Rodri had an extended sabbatical after a hectic campaign last term, and he has not played for City yet this season.

During the international break, the 28-year-old played for Spain and returned to the matchday squad to appear as an unused substitute in the victory over West Ham on August 31. Rodri should be back in the starting lineup for City’s matchup with Brentford.

Savinho Savinho’s knee injury kept him out of City’s victory over West Ham before to the international break.

The Brazil international played in the season’s opening two games against Chelsea and Ipswich before sustaining the injury before the encounter against the Hammers. At the conclusion of the international break, City hopes to have the summer signing back available.
