Liverpool’s transfer activity, or lack of it, under new manager Arne Slot,
has come under scrutiny as we approach the new season.
However, it seems like there is finally some movement with youngster
and youth graduate Owen Beck reportedly set to join Scottish giants, Celtic.
As per Daily Mail (via Tribal Football), former Liverpool manager,
Brendan Rodgers is set to renew his interest in the 21-year-old.
The left-back is deemed surplus to requirements with Scotland international Andy Robertson
and his deputy Kostas Tsimikas ahead of him in the pecking order.
Versatile defender Joe Gomez, who is also at the center of transfer speculation,
also deputized at left back a few times under Jurgen Klopp last season.
Owen Beck spent the last couple of seasons on loan at Famalicao, Bolton,
and most recently, Dundee United in the Scottish League. He could be set to return there, this time on a permanent deal with Celtic. He’s made three senior appearances for the Reds.
