Arsenal’s summer transfer window is still waiting for lift-off with deals in the works to open their account in the market.

Riccardo Calafiori is the main name on the lips of Arsenal fans this summer with talks ongoing over the Italy defender.

It is believed Arsenal are now growing optimistic they will land a full agreement with Bologna for Calafiori soon.

The north London side is also said to be eyeing up a move for a third-choice goalkeeper with Dan Bentley and Charlie Setford both of interest.

However, it is something a former Arsenal player has recently done which will grab the attention of the fans after he’s been spotted wearing the new home shirt.

Former Arsenal player spotted wearing new home shirt six years after leaving

Over the years, Arsene Wenger saw some considerable names leave the Emirates with the likes of Robin van Persie leaving for Manchester United.

And these were departures towards the end of his tenure in north London with players like Thierry Henry leaving well before.

However, not many of the players will have lost their love for the Gunners after leaving with Henry just one who still shows his public support for Arsenal.

And it seems the love has not been lost on another player who left for Old Trafford.

In an Instagram story shared by a Chilean hairdresser [Santa.Barber23], Alexis Sanchez has been spotted wearing the new Arsenal home shirt.

The 35-year-old is currently without a club having left Inter Milan at the end of the season.

But it seems he is looking to keep his fitness up as he was involved in a local game back in his homeland.

And it appears he has not lost any love for the north London side as he donned the new home shirt for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign.

What Arsene Wenger said about Alexis Sanchez

During his time in north London, the Chile international made 166 appearances where he was able to provide a staggering return of 80 goals and 43 assists.

He was, however, sold to United in the months before Wenger’s exit in 2018 in a straight swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Speaking to Sky Sports back in the early stages of the 2017/18 campaign, Wenger had some big praise to lavish on the winger.

“Sanchez came alive in the second half,” he said after their Europa League game against Cologne.

“He is still fighting to come back to his best physically, but Sanchez is Sanchez. He’s an exceptional footballer.”
