Chelsea could allow Benoit Badiashile to leave in summer
According to Simon Phillips, Chelsea are open to hearing offers for Benoit Badiashile in the summer transfer window. AC Milan, AS Roma and Saudi sides are interested in signing the Frenchman. Badiashile joined Chelsea last January following his £35m move from AS Monaco.
Since joining Chelsea, the 23-year-old has not put up a convincing performance and has appeared to be taking his time in the league. Badiashile joined the Blues last season, but his time so far has been blighted by injuries.
The Frenchman has suffered plenty of injuries, which have kept him out for a long time and hindered his growth at the club. Despite returning from injury last season, the 23-year-old wasn’t at his best and demonstrated a poor performance.
It could be due to injuries that halted his development, and he couldn’t participate in enough matches in his first Chelsea season. But during his last campaign, he showed that he could be a reliable centre-back, but he would need trust and patience from the board and fans.
We need to give young players time to grow here because most of the time they have been injured, and this has only affected their performance. and they will not certainly find their form when returning from injury; it will take them many matches to regain their footing.
We are not giving enough trust to our young players to grow. Badiashile has all the makings to become a top defender, and next season he will have to start strong as he will be competing with Levi Colwill for the starting spot.
